This grand 18th century Palladian mansion has seen the riches of the East India Company and the troubles of war. It is surrounded by beautiful parkland, beautiful enough for it to be featured in the 2005 film adaption of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. In 1929, a failed attempt to dismantle the house and rebuild it in America saw it abandoned, then to be used as an army barracks during the Second World War. After being lovingly restored by Lord and Lady Iliffe, it was donated to the National Trust to maintain and look after.
This mug is part of the National Trust Collection, why not take a look at the entire range?
