Built in the 11th century, Corfe castle was one of the first castles to be built in stone when others were being built in timber. It was under siege during the English civil war and was destroyed the Parliamentarians in the 15th century, giving it its current appearance. This design is also available in a mug as part of our National Trust Collection.
